HAI worked onsite at Louisiana State University’s Athletics Department to process high-risk portions of the department’s archival collection.

The project aims to increase the accessibility and usability of archival collections including historic photographs, documents, and approximately 1,500 Umatic, Beta, and VHS tapes containing raw footage of LSU Athletics events.

HAI’s team processed, selected, and created descriptive metadata for over 5 linear feet of individual photographs. During digitization of the tapes, HAI created an item-level inventory and rehoused the tapes in appropriate archival storage.

We are currently working with LSU to select an appropriate digital repository for the digitized content.
