ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2025 Conference (SAA)

The Society of American Archivists (SAA) ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2025 Conference in Anaheim, California, brought together archivists, heritage professionals, and organizations from across the country to explore the future of archives and access.
For ArchivalOne's partners, HAI, NOS, and PastView, it was an excellent opportunity to connect with the archival community and demonstrate how our combined services help institutions manage collections from organization through to digitization, and public access & discovery.

From the outset, the Hilton Conference Center was alive with conversation and collaboration. Our booth welcomed a steady stream of archivists eager to discuss projects, challenges, and opportunities. These discussions reflected the sector’s ongoing focus on tackling backlogs, ensuring long-term digital preservation, and enabling meaningful access to collections.
A key highlight of the week was our mini-theater presentation, delivered by Jordan Baron (PastView) and Brandon Werts (HAI). The session attracted a strong audience and prompted insightful discussions on how ArchivalOne’s three-stage approach of Organize, Digitize, Publicize, is supporting institutions in building sustainable strategies for their collections.

Conference attendees also enjoyed a lighter moment with our now-famous monkey plush giveaways (named 'Archie'), which became one of the most talked-about items at SAA 2025. Beyond being a playful memento, Archie helped open conversations about the challenges archivists face in managing backlog “jungles” and how ArchivalOne partners work together to transform disorder into accessible, structured collections.

In addition to activity at the booth, ArchivalOne co-hosted a morning coffee meetup with our friends at Conserv, providing an informal space for archivists to network, share insights, and strengthen connections.
We extend our thanks to SAA for hosting such a well-organized and engaging conference, and to everyone who visited our booth, attended the presentation, or joined us for coffee. The event proved to be an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, building new partnerships, and reinforcing our commitment to supporting the archival community.
If you were unable to attend SAA 2025 but would like to learn more about how ArchivalOne can help your organization organize, digitize, and publicize its collections, please get in touch!
We look forward to continuing these conversations and to connecting again at next year’s SAA Conference.
